I am recreating the ETV Murman based of its lines drawing.

However I came into trouble by recreating its hull. No program is set to loft based of Frames Verticals and Waterlines. I can not work of one of them as there are too less off each of them.

The only way I can think of (and this is quite hard as this is a complex hull) is compleatly redoing the surface point for point on the known points. That is an agonizign amount of work.

Is there a better way known to mankind?

This is the location of the tender documentation btw:
zakupki.gov.ru/pgz/public/acti...Id=4669551

Attached is the iges file I created from the lines drawing.

Where did you obtain the DXF file?
Get rid of the loft, depending on the CAD program lofting is usualy a disaster on ships hulls.
IMHO you seem to have drawn every frame and this is not neccessary.
What basis did you use for the underwater shape? To be accurate this needs a body plan of the hull. You can make assumptions based on the displacement but that is all they are, an educated guess.

As i see it you have only used frames, (stations), for the dxf. If you can attach any hull drawings you have.

To do this you need to reply not quick reply under the reply is a section for adding files and containing the acceptable formats.

Attached is an fbm of the hull in plan and profile. It needs a bit more work to develop the hull form and the skeg has not been added

HTH

The lines drawing is an extract of the one in PDF.

File Name: MPSV06010-03.pdf
File Size: 189 KB

I have more of those, unfortunatly not in DWG. These lines are exported from PDF into Rhino.
It was figuring out which one had the best lines and those I have used...

Lofting is indeed not Always the best option however the other options other than redrawing did not seem to work.

In the DXF there is multiple layers. With the skeg and bowtruster assembly and without. The denser frames are based of the actual construction drawings in the packet

And the DWG's do not upload... you can find these in this folder of the drawing packet: ТРП 7 МВт\Технораб проект 5\DWG

Ill try the older PDF ones:

File Size: 2,978 KB

I extracted those from these drawings.

By the way, the DXF file is made by me, by extracting the lines and correcting them. There is still errors in the DXF but it contains all the available lines...

thank you,

Merry Christmas aswell.

They contain the same lines as in the DXF. I redraw most of them.

The pdf's are where the lines came from.

Hi Don,
Attached are some files I derived from MPSV06010-03.pdf

The body plan lacks the detail for the fairing where the bow thrusters are located.

I Hope they help you
